RED LEVEL TIGERS
WEEKLY PREVIEW
Alabama High
School Athletic Association
Week 7 - Region
Red Level (3-3; 3-1) vs. Highland Home (3-3; 1-3)
Red Level's win over Samson last
Friday tighten the Tigers grasp of a playoff game for the first time in
four season and kept Red Level's hopes of winning the region alive.
Last week's win came in dramatic fashion with the Tigers coring late for
the victory over Samson.
Red Level could be battling
the schedule "karma" with splitting every week between losing
and winning. If it is a sign - the Tigers could be falling
this week in the streak, but there is a lot riding on the game.
If Red Level wins they will guarantee themselves a playoff birth
for the first time in four years.
After three years of a
combined 5-25, the Tigers have nearly totaled the past three
years in wins at 3-3. This season's losses?
6-0 Brantley, 5-1 Goshen, 6-0
McKenzie - three of the best teams in the South.
This week's matchup with
Highland Home is the first meeting in seven years between the
two schools. In 2003 meeting, Red Level won the first
round playoff game 28-15. The prior year Red Level broke a
five-game losing streak with a 13-12 victory.
The Flying Squadron have the
series advantage with a 22-18 record against the Tigers.
