Straughn could face one of
the best 6-4 teams in the State when UMS-Wright visits.
The biggest streak for
UMS-Wright is consecutive first round playoff wins.
The Bulldogs have won 16 consecutive first round playoff games
at three different classifications. Beginning at 3A - the
streak started with a 14-6 win over Slocomb in 1994. Since
UMS has posted a 46-12 playoff record. If the math doesn't
seem to add up with 12 losses and 16 consecutive wins - the
non-four losses are the years UMS won state titles.
