The Red Level Tigers were crowned the 1A State Champs by the Birmingham Post-Herald in 1957 for their undefeated season. Although Cottonwood finished 10-0 and Ranburne 9-0 neither finished with the dominate performance. Red Level's game with Dozier was the game of the week pitting two undefeated teams in week 8 and was predicted a 7-6 outcome by sportswriters. The Tigers finished scoring their fourth game in the sixties winning 62-7.
