and #4 face off in Week 7 and #2 vs. #3 occurs during week 9.
North Jackson appears to be the leader from the North after wins
over Madison Academy and Douglas (combined 91-13).
UMS Wright made a strong comeback in week 2 and will likely compete
against Thomasville / Jackson for region 1 title.

The last time TR Miller (0-2, 0-1) lost two games to start the
season was 1989. The then 4A Tigers lost to 5A Jackson, 5A
Andalusia, and 5A Monroe County to open the year 0-3 before
finishing 8-4 and a third round playoff loss to Pike County.
That was Jamie Riggs first year as head coach. Now heading
into his 22nd year, the coach has one losing record heading into his
22nd year at TR Miller - 2007's 5-6.
Luverne (1-1, 0-1) also falls out of the top 10 after last week's
loss and heads into a must win game against region opponent, Opp
(1-1, 1-0)
